Note however that brake components such as the pads require expertise. Hence, it must be installed by a competent car expert or mechanic with decent amount of professionalism. Faulty installation of brake components can cause a major safety problem or an accident. So if you are not yet confident with the task of installing the pads, it is better to bring your vehicle to your trusted vehicle dealer or competent automotive mechanic shop for installation.

Servicing or replacing brake hardware at the time of pad or rotor installation may also be needed in some cases. The brake’s exposure to the extremes of heat and pressure can cause all the brake system components including brake pads, brake rotors, calipers, lines, hardware and fluid to be damaged. Hence, they must be inspected between sessions. Note that brake pads and brake rotors must be replaced when their wear limit is reached.
