The B&M’s overriding philosophy is to consistently deliver that uncompromised product quality and to deliver the best service in support in the aftermarket industry. The brand utilizes the latest design programs, tooling, and equipment and quality control inspection methods in all its manufacturing processes. The brand created and still operates an aftermarket transmission dynamometer as well as a torque converter dynamometer capable of duplicating racing and street performance driveline conditions in a completely controlled environment. This is where the advantage of the brand over other brands lies.
The passion for utmost performance was the inspiration for its founders to establish the brand over fifty years ago, and that same passion still exists up to now. The brand continues to introduce products as presented by dedicated individuals who strive to provide consumers and fellow automotive enthusiasts products they are proud to have. The company has been at the helm of the growing aftermarket industry. As the niche market grows, so does the company. It was the company who came up with an idea using a performance reinforced Hydramatic for racing. In the 60s, it was B&M who developed shifters to go along with it and later in the decade came race converters.
The gear stick or the shifter is the lever used to change gear in a vehicle, such as an automobile with manual transmission or an automatic transmission. The shifter knob on the other hand is located at the end of the gear stick, it is used to hold the gear stick and change gear, normally while depressing the clutch pedal with the left foot to disengage the engine from the wheels in a manual transmission vehicle. Typically the gear knob includes a diagram or that shift pattern of the positions to which the gear stick maybe moved when changing gear.
And in the 70s, the brand introduced the shift and transmission improving kits, and always the constant refinements and expansion of existing product lines.
