There are two important tasks that shock absorbers do. It initially, smoothen an abrupt shock impulse so that you will experience smooth road travel, lessen too much rebounds and improved road control. Its second task deals with dispersing kinetic energy. Bilstein 5100 Shock can do more than what an ordinary shock absorber does.

A visit to the mechanic is not necessary since you can personally adjust the disc valve because Bilstein designed a self-regulating deflecting disc valve. Regular adjustment of disc valve is necessary to assure road safety at all times. 5100 shock absorber is also designed to have increased piston current. Tuning-wise, the system can independently do compression tuning and rebound. Precise damping is needed for the shock absorber system to properly work. This is possible with a large working piston and you have it with Bilstein 5100. Furthermore, this type of absorber is also designed to have better management on tires big in diameter.
