These include the temperature sender and sensor that monitor the temperature of the water that cools the engine. In modern automobiles, there are more than 80 control units that use one or more sensors. The most important, the engine, needs to be in proper operating temperature to function efficiently. To ensure that you are always aware of its condition, a temperature sender is mounted to send data to the gauge. You might also need an FAE water temp. sensor on the water flange of the cylinder head in your auto to send water temperature data to the engine. In case your stock sensor is damaged, you can get one from FAE. Otherwise, your engine may not run right. Depending on your vehicle, there might be some modifications in the wiring when you mount this sensor. But, you shouldn't worry because when the sensor is mounted, your engine will be safe from overheating and other problems.
