When you do oil filter change, remember to stop and cool the engine and let the oil flow down to its pan. Then, simply take the old filter off its adapter. You may need to open the filter casing and housing and then remove the filter. The gasket must also be cleaned, or it can be replaced for best results. As soon as everything's ready, simple retrace your steps when you removed your OE part, placing the new filter on the adapter and securing everything.
