The Mallory distributor is the perfect replacement you can get in place of your original part. This is en electronic ignition distributor that features a self-contained optical pickup, module, and an adjustable mechanical advance, plus a 3-wire hook-up to eliminate difficulties during installation. It is also devised with self-lubricating bushings, so maintenance will not be among your worries.

The distributor has two major heavy-duty parts: the distributor cap and rotor. The cap protects the rotor that rotates within the distributor and comes in contact with brass terminal points, which are connected to specific spark plugs. Through the distributor coil, high voltage of energy is passed to the rotor and into each terminal that the rotor passes. The terminals do not make physical contact with the spinning rotor. Instead, electricity is transferred by arcing.
