The radiator is a major part of the cooling system, a liquid-to-gas exchanger. Coolant, when routed to the engine cylinders, absorbs heat. This heat is dissipated through the fins and tubes of the radiator. After the dissipation process, the hot air is directed to the heater box for use in heating the cabin while the now-cooled coolant is routed back to the water tank for another circulation process.
