Brakes for BMW M5
The most important system in your BMW M5 are the brakes. Your BMW M5 brakes have in all probability saved you from severe injury more than once. The BMW M5 brakes consist of several components, each of which must be in good condition.
Luckily, brake system problems don't stay a secret. BMW M5 brakes operate on simple principles.
Hydraulic fluid circulates through tubes called the brake lines and hoses by way of a number of cylinders. Pressing the brake pedal forces this fluid to expand, enabling it exerts tremendous force on the calipers. These clamp down on the rotor and stop the vehicle. When leaks develop, the brake petal will begin to feel "soft," or "spongy." The problem may be corrected by adding hydraulic brake fluid to the BMW M5 master cylinder. If this does not "bring up" the brake pedal, however, it's more serious. Leaks develop in brake hoses, brake lines, joints between the two, or in any of the brake cylinders. Brake lines and/or cylinders may need be replaced. Another sign of brake problems is squealing or whining when the BMW M5 brakes are applied. This indicates that brake pads are worn. If not repaired promptly, the brake rotor could be damaged. Keeping your BMW M5 brakes in top condition is inexpensive with our large inventory of BMW M5 parts.
