The Chevrolet Lumina is the second largest sedan from produced by Chevrolet. It was the brand’s entry into the six-passenger midsize sedan division. The Lumina was introduced in 1990 which was then offered in its minivan and sedan body style.
It was the replacement for the Chevrolet Celebrity and Monte Carlo. If you’re familiar with the other brands from General Motors such as the Olsmobile Intrique, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Biuck Regal and Century, the Lumina shared its W-Body midsize car platform with those cars.
In 1995 model year, it obtained an inclusive restyling to help it put up its own name on the road and on the race track. So with that, the 1995 Chevrolet Lumina was endowed with more stiff and quiet body structure as well as enhanced interior ergonomics. The rough edges were smoothened to perk up the airflow and the sound-deadeners are also equipped in order to ensure a more quite run. The Lumina is available in two 4-door base and LS models which are provided with AM/FM stereo, GM’s PASS-Key II theft deterrent system, driver and front-passenger airbags, power door locks and dual control air conditioning. Durable anti-lock brakes and attractive upholstery were added to the LS model, not to mention the optional the sound system and power windows. Even if the production of the Lumina was already stopped to make way for the Impala, having this model in your auto line up is still an advantage.
