I used to think a vent visor was an unnecessary frill for my Ford 4x4, but I drove a friend’s truck one day and realized what it was for, and how much more pleasurable my driving experience was. I went out and ordered a vent visor the same day. What it does is fit into your window channel and redirect the air that blasts into your car when you’re rolling down the road.

What’s the big deal? Well, what it means to me is that I can get my windows unfogged in a thunderstorm without getting soaking wet from rain coming in the window. When it’s not raining or snowing, which is most of the time, it’s a whole lot quieter in my Ford 4x4. My smooth-running engine isn’t the problem, it’s the thundering sound from the window, which I can’t help opening at least a little for fresh air.

Now with a vent visor installed in my Ford, I can talk to my clients and employees on the way to a job site. I like to listen to music, or the news, and I don’t want to have to blast it until my ears hurt, and sorry, I also don’t feel like closing the window. I’m running power tools all day, and when I drive home I want a little peace and quiet if I feel like it. Yes, and some fresh air with the scent of spring. AC may be cool, but it has no character.
