Few automotive components are as simple as the humble Ford Mustang Mirror. Unlike many of the things you will find in your vehicle, the mirror itself is something that can be useful in many other situations – you will find mirrors in bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and purse-sized compacts. Your car’s mirrors, however, are necessary to help you stay safe on the road by increasing your powers of vision.
The mirror system of your Ford Mustang gives you 360-degree vision without twisting around in the driver’s seat, making it possible to monitor traffic much more smoothly and effectively. In general, you will find three versions of the Ford Mustang Mirror on your vehicle.
The first will be mounted in the interior of the car, at the top of the center of the windshield. While it is also a great place to hang such important riff-raff as fuzzy dice or a scented tree, this central rear-view mirror is used to give a view of the roadway directly behind you. Use this central mirror to check how closely the vehicle behind you is tailgating or to gauge distance when parallel parking. When stepping into a new vehicle, be sure to adjust the angle of this mirror to be consistent with your own height. The second and third Ford Mustang Mirrors of your car will be on either side of the front passenger doors, one on the right and one on the left, just in front of the doors and roughly even with the bottom of the windshield. These mirrors, famous for their “objects may be closer than they appear” claims, give a view of the roadway behind and to the side of your vehicle.
