For two years in the early 1960s, fans we glued to their TV sets to follow the exploits of Officers Gunther Toody and Francis Muldoon as they patrolled the streets of the Bronx and Brooklyn in “Car 54, Where Are You?” This comedy of two bumbling cops has our two heroes protecting an important witness prior to his testifying about organized crime in New York City.
