For twelve years Steve Douglas (played by Fred MacMurray) was the father in “My Three Sons.” He had two housekeepers during the run of this wonderful television series and always at least three sons were living at home at all the time. The family crises that arose from nothing but males living under the same roof kept us tuning in each week from 1960 until 1972. We saw the boys grow up, we saw the dad mature and we watched them all fall in love.
Each week there was a morale to the program, usually delivered by Mr. Douglas after one of the boys finally got out of the jam he had gotten himself into at the beginning of the show.
As with all teenage boys, there came a time when they wanted to borrow the car. Fred always gave a parental warning before turning over the keys. In one episode one of the boys has a minor scrape with another car and the headlight gets broken. The prudent thing to do would be to confess and take your licks. But this was TV, so there was all kinds of shenanigans going on until Fred finally discovered the truth. It would have been so much easier if the guilty son had just given us a call. Our number is toll-free, so even a smart father would never know there had been a phone call. He could even have called us in the middle of the night when dad was sleeping. We have friendly customer service agents standing by twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Then, after the new headlight arrived, all would have been forgiven. Do not let the same thing happen to you. When you are in the market for a new set of Toyota Solara Headlights, do not hide. Just call us up.We will have them at your door in no time.
